Coral Cove: The Story Inspired by the Shoreline

Coral Cove: The Story Inspired by the Shoreline

There is something about the shoreline that always brings me back.

Maybe it is the sound of the water or the way everything seems to slow down when you are near it. Maybe it is looking out at the horizon and remembering that there is still so much beauty ahead, even when we cannot see exactly where life is taking us.

That feeling became the beginning of Coral Cove.

I did not want to create a collection that was simply inspired by the ocean. I wanted it to capture the way we feel when we are close to it.

Lighter. Calmer. More present.

It is the feeling of walking toward the water with nowhere else you need to be. Warm sand under your feet, salt in the air and no plans for the rest of the day.

Coral Cove is about giving yourself permission to stay in that moment a little longer.

Inspired by the Places We Remember

This collection was inspired by hidden beaches, quiet coves, sun-warmed coastlines and those slow days that seem to stay with us long after they are over.

I pictured these pieces being worn on mornings near the water, while wandering through a new town, over bathing suits at the beach and to dinners that stretch into the evening.

I also pictured them being packed into suitcases and becoming part of the memories we bring home with us.

The colours were inspired by the shoreline itself. Soft blues and seafoam tones meet warm coral and pink, much like the changing colours of the water, sky, shells and sand.

The bamboo fabric is soft and flowing, and the cotton lace adds a romantic, almost vintage feeling to the collection.

Each piece was designed to feel easy to wear, but still special.

Meet Coral Cove

The Aurelia Maxi Dress has a softly fitted chest, a long flowing skirt and delicate cotton lace detailing. It feels feminine and romantic while still being comfortable enough to wear all day.

The Perla Maxi Skirt has an elastic waist, tassel ties finished with brass beads and a lace border along the bottom. It was designed to move beautifully as you walk.

The Sirena Kimono holds one of my favourite details in the collection. A mermaid sits at the center of the back and appears as the fabric moves. To me, she represents freedom, mystery and the connection so many of us feel to the sea.

The collection also includes the Isla Headband and a coordinating three-piece set made in our custom Coral Cove print.

The pieces can be worn together or mixed into your existing wardrobe, depending on where the day takes you.

Made Slowly and With Intention

Coral Cove was created in a small batch using soft bamboo rayon and thoughtful details.

Each piece was handmade in India by skilled makers in an ethical production environment. As with every Willow + Wicker collection, the goal was never to create something disposable or based on a passing trend.

I wanted these pieces to feel like something you would keep reaching for.

Something you could wear year after year, bring with you on your travels and connect to your own memories.

To me, slow fashion is not only about how clothing is made. It is also about choosing pieces with intention, wearing them often and allowing them to become part of your life.

More Beauty Ahead

The shoreline has always reminded me that there is beauty just beyond what we can see.

Coral Cove is a little reminder to keep moving toward it.

To wander. To slow down. To leave room for days without plans.

To wear what makes you feel beautiful and comfortable, and to be fully present for the moments happening around you.

The sea is calling.

Coral Cove launches Friday, July 17 at 7:00 PM ET.

This is a small-batch collection, with limited quantities of each piece available.
